Raffles Hotel Wedding: Justin & Sachi

Held at Singapore’s grand dame, Raffles Hotel, I have so much love for this beautiful, intimate wedding of Justin and Sachi! To be honest, I had butterflies in my stomach before the Big Day! This was because we only communicated via email throughout their prep, as Justin and Sachi are both based in Japan, and was only returning just for their wedding day.

I am extremely appreciative and grateful that they took a leap of faith, and entrusted me with the task of documenting their love, on this very important and special occasion.

Even though the wedding was very private and intimate, Justin and Sachi took every effort to personalise the experience for their loved ones and friends. Including folded origami paper cranes which are extremely symbolic in the Japanese culter, and also hand-carrying boxes of delicately Furoshiki wrapped Japanese pastries for each of their guests.

As Sachi’s wedding gown was secret from Justin, we managed to take some time for the two of them to have a “First Look” before the solemnisation, giving them a private and special moment just between them, to enjoy each other and take in all the beauty. The photographs we captured of Justin’s reaction to Sachi looking so, so amazing and radiant in her gown, was truly priceless and incredibly sweet.

I was also privileged to witness Sachi’s traditional kimono wearing process, which was a real eye-opener. Through the evening, there were so much laughter, smiles and tears of joy. And from the simple things like the look that Justin and Sachi share between each other, and those smiles, you can tell that they were meant to be.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you Justin and Sachi for letting me share this moment with you both and your families. May you both always be blessed with abundance of love and happiness in your new journey together! 🙂
